Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Ceri Winfield, I’m the owner of Conductive Care and I want to thank you for checking out our new blog!
I decided to start writing this blog not only to share my passion with others, but also to spread the word and help people to become more knowledgeable about Conductive Education. My goal, and the goal of Conductive Care, is to help parents with neurologically impaired or movement impaired children and even young adults, who have these impairments themselves. I want to give others more information about conductive education, understand it in relation to their lives and see how it has the ability to transform their lives, whatever their age. I hope that by sharing my knowledge and experiences on this blog, I can make a difference to your life, answer questions that you may have been scared to ask or felt silly asking in the past, help you to understand what it might be like to be constantly working against what your brain and body are be doing and show the world how amazing it is to help change others lives!
I have always been extremely passionate about all the children I have worked with over the years and am continually inspired by what truly amazing hard workers these kids are, oh and all of their fantastic sense of humours! When I started Conductive Care, I wanted to learn how I could make their journey in life amazing and how I could help them achieve their goals, whether that was to have their nails painted, kayak in the sea, rock climb or just stand up for the first time in their life. I wanted to try my hardest to make all of these things possible for every child. As with any new endeavor, there have been many hurdles, people questioning whether some of these things were even possible, but to me anything is possible. I want to pass this “can do” attitude on to these children and their parents and most importantly, I want every child to know that they can achieve amazing things in their lives, whatever the challenge might be.
This blog will bring readers all the up to date and relevant information they need on Conductive Education, putting a new perspective on negative thoughts and opinions about it and show how it could impact the lives of both you and your child. If you want to learn some amazing things about disABILITY then stick around!
Thanks for reading!
